Kajiado Climate Strike

ON 29th, we strike on behalf of indigenous pastoral women who are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis. During weather extremes, women especially from marginalized communities like mine have no choice but to walk long distances in search of water, they have to watch their young girls being given off in marriage in exchange for cattle (dowry) which will fend for the other children, they watch their children sick from diseases as a result of dirty water, and still they have to leave in the morning and return towards evening all in search of water. Women are our HOPE, if we want to empower a family, we empower the mother, for what the mother has the child has.
